Individuals suffering from mental health problems desperately need our help. Without it, many will lead short, lonely lives, sometimes without the knowledge that their woes are emanating from a mental illness. These individuals can suffer appalling abuse and neglect due to lack of awareness or support. Families often do not know how to help their loved ones, or even how to communicate properly with them. Individuals suffering from prolonged mental health problems without intervention may feel isolated and desperate. In the worst-case scenario, an individual may be locked up for displaying

IT'S NOT ENOUGH JUST TALKING, WE ARE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. ARE YOU?

Tulia Wellness gives individuals the chance to break through the isolation caused by mental health and support them to lead a valued and fulfilling life.

We aim to continue providing free mental health awareness and support to educate our schools, universities and communities about signs of mental health problems and support those affected to overcome. Our Objective is to provide expertise and training to grassroots organisations and persuade the government to provide national support for mental health. Our Vision is to work with governments, education and health authorities to put the necessary infrastructure in place to support persons and communities affected by mental health problems. We are on a Mission to train teachers, home-based workers and parents so that they can offer the right mental health first aid support in the communities. Our Goal is to lobby the government to recognise the unique challenges faced by persons going through mental health problems and to provide services to help them even as we continue to run awareness raising activities to change people’s understanding of mental health and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
